Music and cooking have a lot in common: a chef is somehow an orchestra director, at the opera you can eat, drink, raise glasses, maybe taking advantage of the party to poison someone.

In Spain, during XIV century, a particular music piece composed by several rythms taken by a melodrama was very popular: its name was ensalada.
Concerning the baroque opera, a sherbet aria was sung while the audience was unfocused or people were drinking.
Then, a high and slim glass is called flûte.
